Planned Events

I wanted to update you on the last parish council meeting held last Tuesday the 16th.

It was a pleasure to meet with Fr. Workman. We all talked about what each committee was currently working on. Not a lot happening since we really have had no direction for the last couple of months because of all of the changes going on.

On the top of the list was the cluster, closing of churches and how we should proceed in welcoming new people into the church. We just touched the surface of this conversation and I’m sure once Fr. Workman has had a chance to talk further with the other churches involved we will move forward quickly.

Father would like to get feedback on changing the mass schedule. First starting with the Saturday and moving the time to 4:00pm instead of 5:15.

He talked about utilizing the bulletin boards around the church, something we discussed a while back but did not make it on our top 5 list. He is also talking with the Scout troop at St James and looking into relocating them to our church after St. James closes.

Once I get a time that fits Fathers schedule we will be meeting with him and we will be examining the new wording that is going to be incorporated into the mass and look at the opportunity of getting new music books.

Mark March 10th. Down. Fr. Workman is performing an educational mass at St. Clements. During the mass, he will explain why he does certain things and the clothing he wears.

Discuss the changing of the Saturday mass time with friends and family and let me know what type of feedback you get.

Hello to All

Our first round of spring cleaning happened on June 6th. Thank you to all that were able to attend you did a great job and I even received some nice feedback from some people that noticed. Don't worry if you were not able to attend, We have a long list of things we would like to keep clean and this will be an ongoing project.

Next Line of business: Parish Council
We met Tuesday the 9th. As you can imagine there were a lot of things put on the table. I had my chance to talk for us and didn't want to bring up too many things. So I talked about doing a survey in conjunction with all the other committees. Fr. John has something to that effect as an insert going in this weeks bulletin. I also brought up starting a Sunday evening Mass. This was met with some nice feedback and there were a few suggestions on what we needed to do to get this started.

We should try to get together and have a meeting so I can go into this further and also discuss the next project we would like to take on as a group. What about Tuesday the 23 or Thursday the 25th. Pat and Dick do either of these dates work for you as everyone now knows where your house is and I'm delegating your home for our meeting place... at least for this time?
